Frozen Water And Its Beauties

Hello world,

so when you are reading this, I am already gone for my camp. So excited!
DSC06933 DSC06985My family and I took a day trip to the Alps on Boxing Day. One of the conveniences of living in Switzerland is that one can drive forty minutes and be surrounded by postcard worthy beauty just like the Stockhorn onto which we scrambled on the 2nd day of Christmas.

The greatest part about the whole trip was that absolutely everything on the mountain was covered with fluffy, beautiful snow.

White Christmas after all.
DSC06988DSC06812So here are pictures of beautiful landscapes plus beautiful frozen water.

Andy Goldsworthy once said:

“Snow provokes responses that reach right back to childhood.”

Or responses that reach right back to my exchange year in Minne-snow-ta where there is only little snow now.
DSC06858 DSC07005What is so special about a white Christmas? What is so special about snow?

Let’s just quote Margaret Atwood, too, just because I love that quote:

“The Eskimos had fifty-two names for snow because it was important to them: there ought be as many for love.”

I philosophized about a couple of names for love in this post a couple months ago.
DSC06846I am wishing you all some beautiful white stuff while it’s cool and not annoying. I hope you are all preparing your new year’s resolutions.

Thanks for reading.
